“ReallyGoodFreelanceWriter
partners in
Akron Business Conference”
Barbara Payne to write company stories
(CLEVELAND, OH) August 29, 2003. ReallyGoodFreelanceWriter.com
today announced that Barbara Payne, managing principal, has agreed
to partner in producing the half-day Akron Business Conference to
be held this October 30, 2003 at the Hilton–Akron/Fairlawn.
The Conference is co-sponsored by NEOSA, IAC, the Greater Akron
Chamber of Commerce and SBN Online.
More than 40 Northeast Ohio businesses are going through an interview
process to be selected for recognition during the Conference. Ms.
Payne will generate the success story for each company that will
be used by the panel of judges to make final selections. Stories
will be evaluated on the basis of whether they "make a good
story” and clearly demonstrate the kind of passion and commitment
that can serve as an inspiration for other entrepreneurs.
Winning companies will be honored at the Conference with certificates
of recognition, and their stories will be published in local news
outlets.
“We all hear about Fortune 500 success stories,” said
Ron Finklestein, president of Akris LLC and co-chairperson of the
Conference. “But we often neglect to recognize the expertise
and creativity of the entrepreneurs in our own backyard. This conference
is an opportunity to do that—and we wanted someone with proven
expertise like Barbara to help us tell their stories.”
“We invited Ms. Payne to help us because we already know
of her professionalism through her work on our books, newsletters
and public relations efforts,” said Don Philabaum, president
of IAC and co-chairperson of the Conference. “We have the
highest regard for her talent and dedication.”
“I am proud to partner in this conference,” said Ms.
Payne. “The tough economy is the perfect setting for giving
hard-working entrepreneurs recognition for their efforts. It’s
a clear expression of confidence in our local business people—and
we can never do enough of that.”
